2015 Little North Pole

I would like to thank everyone for participating in this event! The Little North Pole took place at 145-07 Neponsit Ave, Far Rockaway, which dissuaded a bunch of people to come. They had an overflow of volunteers, mainly because Key Clubbers from Divisions 8A, 8 and some people from 11 came along! Division 9(US!) just stood around and enjoyed the free food and live entertainment. Some lucky members got to help out with serving the food or selling the raffle tickets. Overall, I felt that the event was a great success! The decorations, people and live performances all blew me away. I will definitely look forward to returning next year!

Two New Events in December! (12/6 and 12/12)

The first event will be the Little North Pole event! This takes place at 145-07 Neponsit Ave, Far Rockaway at 1 pm. We will be meeting at Midwood at 12 pm. Division 9 will be volunteering with Divisions 8 and 8a at Little North Pole. This is an event started by a Kiwanis member to raise money for research into juvenile diabetes through donations. There will be live entertainment and free food (donations encouraged). Volunteer activities might include dressing up and handing out gifts. You must bring a santa hat!

The second event will be the American Cancer Society's attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Conga Line on Ice. This event will take place from 10 am to 2 pm at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside Prospect Park. It is the same place where we hosted our Division Ice Skating Fundraiser. The current record is 353 partipants. There is a $15 entrance fee which covers skate rentals and a skating session.
