9/5/15 Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

For those volunteering, we will be helping Chinatown Partnership and Chinatown B.I.D. with their next weekend walk! This time, the event is a Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, celebrating love in Chinatown. We will be helping Chinatown BID set up for the event. This involves setting up tents, tables, chairs, lanterns, the stage, and controlling traffic. Although the event ends at 6pm, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the food for sale! The volunteers can come anytime from 1pm to 12am. If you are dedicated enough to come late at night you will probably be helping closing tents and packing up. Vendors include Sam’s Fried Ice Cream, Osaka Grub, Seoul Pancake, Karl's Balls, and Rice and Chopsticks. Please invite all your friends to come to this popular event as well! If you decide to stay there are also performances full of music and dance! Please RSVP to the Facebook event, as well as, the Google Form below!

August 2015 Speak Up & Clean Up Event!

This clean up event was a great success! Our attendance was the highest I've ever seen at this specific clean up for our club! There were several news stations present and one of our members got interviewed by Fox 5! We cleaned the entire Shore Parkway as well as Bath Avenue. I must thank you all and I really hope by our next clean up we have 20+ members present to really show Midwood pride!

Here I am holding a sign to raise awareness for the campaign.

8/21/15 Speak Up & Clean Up

Once again, Assemblyman Bill Colton, Councilman Mark Treyger, District Leaders Nancy Tong and Charles Ragusa, along with volunteers, will be conducting a neighborhood clean-up event as part of the ongoing “Speak Up & Clean Up” campaign. The goal is to inform residents and businesses about sanitation rules, remind them to keep the neighborhood clean and encourage them to do their part in maintaining a better community.

They will provide 5 community service hours and free pizza for all participants.
