October 2015 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

The attendance for this year's Breast Cancer Walk blew me away! Midwood Key Club itself had over 50 members attending the walk at the Prospect Park. The more well known location for the walk is at Central Park but Midwood participates annually in the Prospect Park walk. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common diagnosed in women in the US. The chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer some time during her life is about 1 in 8. From their official site, over 7,000 people participated in the Prospect Park walk and raised over $590,000! A Key Clubber commented with "We moved at a Midwood pace from miles 2-3. I felt like I was walking down Midwood's hallways. People were playing loud music, shuffling with the crowd and having fun. You know the usual. It was hella long. Man, my legs cramped up after that." This walk brought people of all different races and cultural backgrounds together to walk for ONE purpose!

NOTE:THIS IS NOT EVEN EVERYONE!!
