Africa Project- 03/26/2016

Hey Guys!
This post is to thank everyone that attended the Africa project event this past Saturday! For those of you that aren't aware, the Africa Project is a project in which Mr. Grashow collects supplies for children in Africa which he then helps transports to Africa. This particular event was a bit of a last minute event but thank you so much to all the members that were able to attend and help Mr. Grashow package the supplies for their shipment.

3/9/16 March Divisional

Come join us this Wednesday, March 9th, for Ruoxin's last divisional! It will be at our very own, Midwood High School, starting at 4 pm! For those who are new, a divisional is a like Key Club meeting. Except instead of kids from your home club, kids from schools all over the division come to this meeting and get updated with divisional events. Attending divisionals is a great way to boost morale and let our Key Clubbers meet more people. I encourage you all to come and see Ruoxin's last division and the new LTG being announced!

Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser for Kamp Kiwanis (4/2/16)

The Kiwanis Club of Brighton Beach/Coney Island is a relatively new Kiwanis club in the district. They're holding a "Flapjack Fundraiser" on Saturday April 2nd from 8 am to 10 am. The Applebee's hosting is on 1217 Surf Avenue, Coney Island. This fundraiser is a great way for them to gain traction as a club and also the proceeds will be used to send kids to Kamp Kiwanis.
According to their website, "Kamp Kiwanis is aimed at providing fun, physical exercise and adventure. It strives to afford opportunities to participate in a creative outdoor group experience in a democratic setting and develop characteristics of leadership and fair play. The program at Kamp Kiwanis is designed to mainstream all children, including up to 20 each session with special needs. It is non-competitive with emphasis on group and team building. No activity is forced, but all are encouraged."
Tickets will be $10 and must be purchased beforehand. Please contact Joe Corace at joecorace@aol.com or 917-282-9498 to inquire about tickets. All this information and more is provided on the waiver below!
