The Division 9 Ice Skating Fundraiser was a great success! We had over 70 participants from five different schools, including Dewey, Murrow and Midwood! The event started at 11 am and ended whenever you were too tired to skate. It took place at the Lefrak Center at Lakeside Prospect Park. For some people, this was their first Key Club event. Jessie Lin from Midwood High School said "It was fun and I got to make new friends." Mica Tonge also from Midwood said "My first Key Club event was more fun than I thought, everyone was friendly & helped each other out skating. The leaders helped everyone get what they needed and put everyone before themselves." We raised $215, which will be donated to the Pediatric Lyme Disease Foundation! This event was very fun and we look forward to having another one very soon.

Elemonate Challenge Results!
The Elemonate Challenge was created by Key Club to benefit UNICEF and the Eliminate Project. It is like the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, except this challenge raises awareness for the Eliminate Project. The Eliminate Project helps provide vaccines to help fight against maternal and neonatal tetanus(MNT). Every 11 minutes, a baby is lost to MNT. $1.80 is enough to give a mother three vaccines to protect her and her children from MNT. We performed the challenge by having each officer and a volunteer eat a slice of lemon. Donations were based on whoever did not pick the winning person or people who didn't eat the lemon slice fast enough. We raised $53 during this challenge! This means we were able to provide almost 30 mothers with vaccines against MNT!!
